Part of the Auto Industry

One of the facts of life in the auto-industry, be it prosperous times or lean times is a week or two off at Christmas and another week or two off around the 4th of July. I start my two weeks plus one day off today. It's going to feel good to actually sleep.

Time off at Christmas sounds like an idea some other companies should try. Unfortunately, it seems the time of year when retail
work gets heavy...suppose they get
their time off around Groundhog day? Hope you enjoy your winter
hiatus!

You must work for one of the "big three" whoever that is. The shut downs are one of my busiest times of the year, we focus on tooling and machine improvements, most of the people on the floor get some time off.

Take it when you can get it!
