Why?
So many terms get labeled as Racist. Some correctly and some absurdly.
Michelle Malkin has a link to a new low (of sorts) in Political Correctness. Things can no longer just disappear into a black hole any more because it's racist. I suppose the correct technical term for a black hole is singularity but how many people actually know what that is? Do you remember the old mediocre Disney flick Singularity?
How about this one?
A gay man is suing, not one but two, Bible publishers for printing Bibles that call homosexual behavior a sin and he's going for tens of millions of dollars. He is basing his argument on the fact that different Bibles read differently and some use the term "homosexual" and others use other terms. He says that the text was changed to specifically to offend gays. I guess he never heard of the term "Version" before as there are several that all read slightly differently but all tell exactly the same story.
By the way, the word in question reads arsenokoitai (in Greek) which is the plural of arsenokoites which is a compound of two words. Arsen (in Greek) means "male" and koitos is still used in English and the gender of the word (masculine) reveals that it is talking about men. One might not like what it says but that is what it means.
Funny thing is this, Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech and the Press are specifically enshrined in exact wording of the Constitution while sexual freedom is an artificial freedom twisted out of the Constitution by dishonest judges but never mentioned in the Constitution. Sexual freedom is not enshrined in the Constitution nor should it be. Why are we putting more effort into protecting unenshrined rights than the enshrined ones?

My Bible says "to lie with a man as if a woman". It does not use the word Homosexual.
This is just the kind of stuff that Neo-Cons stir up to get people to not pay attention to how the right is screwing over the country. Throw up this stuff so that the simpletons in the hinterland who "cling to religion and guns" don't see how $4 gas and the factory that they work at is moving to Taiwan goes unnoticed until it is too late.

tim There are other passages that do Greek and Hebrew terms that can honestly be translated that way. It is the Greek and Hebrew that we need to look to when there is doubt.
Stupid stupid stupid. Black hole is racist? And to be honest I'm surprised it took this long for someone to sue about the Bible...
