Archie Has Changed?

The artwork of Archie Comics has remained basically unchanged since the 1950s.

No more.

I like the artwork, but I don't know if it's the same feel. Their popularity is not what it used to be and perhaps some change is needed.

Can't sleep.

NOOOOOOO! I don't like the new artwork! Blasphemy! Archie was my favorite comic book of all time... It's probably lost popularity becaue they broke a golden rule: "If it ain't broke don't fix it"! :(

Wow... I have to say that recently, I was thinking to myself about how cool it was that Archie didn't change.

Archie's popularity is a fraction of what it was 30 years ago and some change is needed if the comic is to survive. Is this it? I don't know. The more contemporary style and the admission of a dark side to being a teen-ager (without compromising on what is good - - you can show the dark side without endorsing it) may be just what Archie needs to survive a few more generations as America's oldest teenager.

I don't like it either, but then, I'm kind of a purist when it comes to that sort of thing.
