Cute Animals?

Let's face it. We love animals. We find them funny and enjoyable (and yes, sometimes delicious too!)

But they are not the cute, almost human, people of a Disney cartoon.

The gentleman above is a park ranger running for his life from the mammal that kills the most humans every year (excluding other humans.)

This article has a list of six animals that are considered the essence of cute and loveable, but in fact are very dangerous animals. Disneyphiles take note.

That's a hillarious photo! I like to refer to these kind of things as an "aw SHIT!" moment.

As for swans: I saw a vicious swan fight between two male swans who were vying for the attentions of a female that was extremely brutal. They were having an aquatic wrestling match and one got the upper hand on the other, who started squealing in a most sickening way and fled to the shore exhausted. Now content with merely driving away the interloper, the victor then proceeded to come up on shore, drag the other back in the water and standing on his head to push it underwater until he drowned. The loser struggled back to shore, but the victor was on him again. We all watched this literally 5 feet away, and an old man (this guy was tiny! I mean, like 5'2" and maybe 130Lbs.) grabbed a fallen branch and started beating on this swan with all of his might over 10 time before that swan let go and swam back over to the female. The loser lay exhausted on the shore for several minutes before he decided that he'd had just about enough of this and took off across the street to a different pond and swam as far way as he could. It's one of the most brutal things that I have seen first hand. The way that they went for each other's throats with their beak and tried to literally twist each other's head off!

Interesting read at that link, Shoprat. I had a dog that was half Dingo once. He was given to me by a friend of my parents. He was sweet for awhile, but turned on me one day and tore off half of my lower lip. Fortunately I got to the hospital and under a Plastic Surgeon's care before it ws to late. Even half a Dingo is dangerous!

gayle I hear frequent warnings about wolf-dog hybrids but I guess a dingo-dog hybrid would be about the same.

bbi I'm sure it helps.

tim In this area, people with small children are advised to keep them away from Canadian and Feral Geese. I guess it's pretty much the same thing. I've had feral geese come after me but they back down if you hold your ground.

The latest "aw, shucks" cuddly animal is the Polar Bear, being used by the Global Warming idjits. The cuddly, white mammal is the only mammal known to consider humans prey. They stalk humans. And eat them. Yep! Nice and cuddly.

People can be very stupid.
