Michigan Downgraded

It's official. The Democratic National Committee has downgraded Michigan and Florida. We are now half-states.

1. The National Committees of neither party has the right to tell the states when and how to select their delegates. They tell us how many and we choose them according to times and methods of our own choosing.

2. By refusing to be on our ballot and refusing to campaign in Florida, Obama has put the approval of the DNC ahead of the needs and interests of the people of Michigan.

The DNC has wronged the people of Michigan and Florida.

I've noticed that Saint Barack has been campaigning hard in both states lately, but not answering questions about the delegate issue. Pretty good idea, since his campaign nixed every idea for a revote.

Hopefully the folks who are tired of "politics as usual" will realize that Obama is politics as usual.

i'm not sure about the first sentence there sr....

i think the national committees (RNC/DNC) do actually have the right to tell the states when the primaries are held.

isn't that what got mich and fl into this mess in the first place? they didn't want to play by the established rules and thought they'd just hold their primaries whenver they wanted to.

although i agree with you the decision made yesterday is rather unfair - - i think the blame should be laid at the feet of the mich and fl party committees who screwed you over to begin with.....

heck Shoprat,
Both parties have wronged us all by not fielding any decent candidates.
How about spongebob squarepants? he's got a positive attitude, comes from a blue collar background, and he lives in a pineapple under the sea, which means he's certainly resourceful!

I'm with Mark! Spongebob for president! Seriously, I really am upset with both parties. Don't forget that the republicans did the same thing, disqualifiying half of our delegates as well. Don is also correct that MI and FL did this to themslves by not playing by the rules and waiting to hold their primary. I may just throw my vote away on the Libratarians. Obama basically has told the auto industry to go shit in your hat (McCain basically did too, but threw in a bone about "retraining" to do what I don't know). So yes, MI gets it in the keester yet again. At least FL has a good economy.

I think the Super Delegate idea was a mistake from the get go, Shoprat. Whatever the results of this is, no one can say they haven't made a complete mess of things.

The DNC has made a shambles of the Primary process, the convention process, and everything else. All in the name of PC.

This is just the latest silliness.

The only CHANGE Barack Hussein Obama seeks is HIS installation in the White House.
