Is It Beginning?

or is it Ending?

Is it the end of the global warming hysteria or the beginning of the New Ice Age hysteria?

Read the article.

Whatever happens the eco-fascists will demand more power to deal with it.

When I was a young teenager, a Freshman in High School, I was genuinely concerned about the environment. I had seen the results of an invasive species first hand when I watched the elm trees die around 1970. No one wants zero environmental protection policy, but it has to genuinely protect the environment, not simply enrich the High Priests and Priestesses of Mother Earth and their cronies.

Too much environmentalism is nothing more than an excuse to control other peoples' lives.

Me, I'm going to just wait and see what happens. I think what this article means is none of them know what the hell they are talking about.

Thanks for the reminder of the elms-I remember them spraying the trees-trying to stop the parasite...no avail (I was a MI kid too)
--SR-there are still a few elm trees in SOCAL!

You are absolutely correct.

The majority of environmental wackos are extreme left-wingers to boot.

I taught backpacking for many years, and always insisted on leaving a camp site cleaner than when we found it.

On the other hand there are really stupid thngs people do that have dire results.

Here in Florida, hydranga, an invasive species found in home aquariums, has been released into lakes and is choking them to death.

We also have folks who had pythons for pets and released them into the everglades when they tired of them, and now they are rampant.

Finding the correct balance is the tough part.

As for man-caused climate change, the atmosphere is far too big and too volatile for man to make a significant dent in it.

Climate changes naturally, and that's the way it is.

I call its adherents the Religious Left. It's a matter of a belief system. They have their own set of gods, their own set of demons, their own way of penance. They'll not be deterred or diverted nor consider any other arguments or points but their own.

Chuck No they don't.

C-CS We have elm trees again, very few more than 35 years old.

Joe Believe it or not, piranha have been found in lakes down Pontiac (a suburb of Detroit). I wonder how they would survive the Winter.

BZ It is both a religious and political system that brooks no dissent, much like another way of thinking that is giving us trouble.

I am alarmed at the prospect of the Asian Carp getting into Lake Michigan and crashing that ecosystem. The Zebra Mussell has done enough damage.

The man-made global warming kooks are the modern-day version of the charlatans of centuries past who demanded certain behavior based on the appearances of eclipses of the sun.

Tim,

What's up with that asian carp issue? I saw a report that they were going to poison them to prevent entry, and the result was disasterous. Only a few carp killed but many other fish destroyed.

As far as GW, I really don't care what others believe about climate change, 'Just don't tax me, bro'.

Nice to see you at my site, 'Rat.

"...piranha have been found in lakes down Pontiac."

More than a few have made it to Washington DC.

I want not agree on it. I regard as nice post. Expressly the appellation attracted me to study the sound story.

Environmentalists are constantly harping that the sky is falling. Gives them leverage to establish more government control.
