Some Mexicans Also Want the Immigration to Stop

Captain's Quarters has an interesting post based on an e-mail from Mexico which has been verified as authentic (as well as they are able to) discussing how the illegal immigrants coming to America is hurting Mexico badly. They want their men to stay there with there families and build Mexico. They say it is their best that are going and some communities have lost a huge chunk of their men. Families are suffering and the local economies are in serious trouble.

Also interesting is the "why" of the men coming to America and it is not always money. I think this is something that needs to be considered.

What should really concern us is this phrase:

CQ: Do you believe that American business interests deserve the blame for the men abandoning your community?

EF: Honestly, we are not interested in blaming anybody. It is true that businesses in the United States often ask good workers to invite family members to go and they offer to pay the expenses including what the border coyote charges [emphasis mine -- CE].

Businesses are spending money reimbursing the coyotes? If this is true, then we don't just have a problem with hiring practices at these shops, but we have them contributing to organized crime and modern-day slavers.

I have said before that I will welcome anyone who comes to America to become an American who is willing to learn our language, obey our laws, adapt to our way of life, and work for a living. I don't care if they are from England, Mexico or Narnia. (Well if they're from Narnia I would like them to get a psychiatric evaluation, but you know what I mean.) But those who want to sponge off of us, make trouble and disrupt our society are not welcome.
