About Me
- Name: shoprat
- Location: Michigan, United States
From High School I went into the Navy where I served a little over two years and got discharged for medical reasons. I studied and trained for the Ministry but am temperamentally unsuited for that job so I entered retail and food management for several years. I really wanted to write fiction so I decided to get a factory job while I did it. I found that I am actually happy producing things in a factory and I have written a couple of novels, which I hope never see the light of day :-D.

Congrats!
What a great picture, too.
I hope I'm married that long, and longer.
Happy Anniversary to them! That's a lot of years, and I'm sure they could teach all us newlyweds (with only 22 years) a thing or two.
I truly want to wish them a wonderful 50th anniversary. That sort of dedication is rare these days and is to be congratulated with heartfelt praise.
My husband and I are nearly there; it will be 50 years in, er... (I'm not very good at math, CP, give me a minute. Hard day and all.) Oh yeah, our 46th anniversary is this year in December, so it will be four years. Whew! That wasn't hard after all.
Frivolity aside, I clicked on the picture to make it larger. They are a very good-looking couple, and even though it's an old picture, I'll bet they still are. So who do you take after, Mom or Dad?
May they have many more wonderful years together.
Er, excuse me Shoprat! I told you it was a long day, and it really was. I saw CP's comment and got confused. My apologies.
A big HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! to your mom and dad.... It's a great thing when people have bounded together so strong they last for their entire lifetime ...
Wish them the best from all of us. That is an accomplishment. I've just got 32 more to go...
That's so cool Shoprat! Happy Anniversary to your parents! They must be a wonderful couple indeed to have raised such a wonderful son! (Skip sounds pretty wonderful also.)
Divorce has assured I will never achieve that milestone. Congrats to them.
You must be very good looking because your parents are both knockouts in that pic! Lone Pony take notice!
All Thanks for the thoughts and yes it is a great achievement.
lp thanks for the compliment
tim and gayle I am a thorough mixture of the two of them (her eyes, his hairline, my hair color is half-way between them).
Then you must be one good-lookin dude! :)
