A Few Things

I am trying Firefox and IE7 side by side, and results so far are inconclusive. To be honest, I really can't tell them apart. If it wasn't for the fox symbol or stylized e symbol I couldn't tell which is which.

Discovered an interesting blog today from Zimbabwe. It's worth reading, and I may add it to my links at a later time. While I find the blogger himself (herself?) to be interesting some of the comments are rather astonishing.

It was over 60° F today and it's supposed to snow tomorrow. Only in Michigan.

I enjoy reading "Gagdhad Bob" at One Cosmos but I'm not sure what I think of him. He says a lot that is true but He is so esoteric and wordy that I often wonder if it's worth it. (He also says a lot of things that cause me to roll my eyes.) Yet he makes me think.

It can't... global warming won't allow for more snow.

I read the linked blog. Interesting. I am an avid reader of one of their links, This Is Zimbabwe.

I've been interested in Zimbabwe for years, as a close friend and his family were missionaries there until Mugabe gave them the boot. At least he didn't kill them.

Not only Michigan, it was 73 in Chicago when I headed home yesterday. Currently it's a balmy 31(F) here. Gotta love it.

It's back down to 30 here this morning. Just when I was dreaming about camping!

I can't figure out "Gagdhad Bob" either. He isn't boring but he sure is esoteric as you politely said.

It's bad enough that I actually took the minivan, instead of the motorcycle this monring. After riding home in 3+ inches of snow last fall ... I figured I'd rather regret not taking the bike, than regret taking the bike. LOL.

Where the heck is that global warming? I keep looking, and looking, and looking ..... good thing I left the heated pails plugged in at the barn.

Good morning, Shoprat. :)

I also use Firefox and IE7, and so far the only difference I've noticed is sometimes Firefox loads pages faster.

Snow? What's "snow"? Oh yeah, that white stuff that sometimes falls from the sky. I haven't seen any of it in over twelve years.

Shoprat: just heard on the news that there are some major solar flares coming in a few days, expected to disrupt GPS systems, and that solar flares are expected to grow stronger until they peak in about another 4 years. Hmm. Wonder if there MIGHT be a correlation between. . .

Nah.
