Johnny Hart
Amongst the comic strips that I have long enjoyed was BC and The Wizard of Id.
Both were created or co-created by Johnny Hart who passed away yesterday.
Never grieve for a departed believer, which he was and his strips often reflected those beliefs, sometimes in a manner that some considered controversial. His strips will continue to be done by family members but I am sure they won't be the same.

I've never grieved for a departed believer. My grieving has always been totally selfish: I'll miss them. Oh what they could have done. Etc.
I enjoyed those comics as well, Shoprat. He'll be missed for sure.
He definitely will be missed, Shoprat! I also loved his work.
yup - both great comic strips written by a really nice guy. he will be missed....
I read those two for years..... may he rest in peace...
I too was a big fan of Johnny Hart. Two other cartoonists who diminished us by their passing: Bernard Kliban and Don Martin.
