Bit of This, Bit of That.

Haloscan doesn't seem to like me today. I have attempted comments at several blogs that use Haloscan and it won't upload for some reason. I wonder if it's me or Haloscan.

Fred's out. He was the best of the bunch and I am somewhat disappointed but it's not the end of the world. We need to concentrate on getting the Feds as far to the right as possible if this country is to survive and prosper. Bush's constant compromises didn't cut it and liberal-like big spending, which were his REAL failures, didn't cut it. Socialism is a cultural disease that kills societies, economies and cultures instead of individual people and we need to resist it.

On another note entirely, one of my favorite series of books was the first two Dragonlance trilogies. ( They were The Dragonlance Chronicles and The Dragonlance Legends) They wrote more books after these but they went badly downhill. Like Dune and Thieves' World they didn't know when to stop and just started writing absurdities. I was totally unaware that an animated movie was being made of the first book of The Dragonlance Chronicles, Dragons of Autumn Twilight. I would much rather have seen live-action but this will have to do. It was released a week ago and I just found out about it yesterday.

Here is the trailer to the movie.

The first few minutes of the movie may be watched here.

Update: Having watched the entire movie I am less than thrilled. It was OK but far from great. It could have been much better done.

I will have to put this movie on my NetFlix cue. Dragon Lady cannot miss a good dragon movie! Thanks. :)

Regarding halo-scan, I've noticed the problem at other people's blogs too, but when I right click on the comment link and choose "open in a new window" it opens. Hope that helps.
