I would expect something like this in a poorly written comedy making fun of Moslems. Sadly it a true story. A cassette store was closed down, the manager fired, and a business owner in big trouble because a woman entered it. No kidding.

Woww!!!! I read both the links and found it extremely hard to believe the story or the response on the blog. Praise God that I don't live in a Middle Eastern country. I can't even fathom. This is beyond ridiculous.
Not so ridiculous LCM... it's reality in them countries. Some of the shops even have "No women or dogs allowed" on them. We had to send a person over once, and he came back saying .... "never again".
This is crazy. Where's NOW when you need 'em? The femenist groups say things like Catholic schools firing women for getting pregnant out of wedlock are discrimination(because it doesn't happen to men!) but are strangely silent on this.
