The Other Terrorists
Animal rights activists are becoming more and more dangerous, though not yet as effective. It used to be that they sought to avoid harming people but that is no longer the case. Fortunately their efforts to save animals by hurting people have been marred by severe incompetence but it is only a matter of time before they kill someone. They used to destroy property (which was bad enough) but now some have taken to attacking people with the apparent intention to kill.
“I think the animal-rights movement has been way too slow in taking radical actions,” he says. “And they’ve been way too nice.” Let's see. They've destroyed other peoples' property and now are trying to kill people. That's way too nice. I'd hate to see what is considered going too far.
I find it curious that these people who support this activity will oppose those who violently oppose abortion (by the way I do NOT support the killing of abortion providers or destroying their property even though I consider abortion to be a crime against humanity; there are better ways to stop it.)
Don't misunderstand me. Pointless torture of animals and causing them pain or killing them for simple fun is unacceptable and should never be tolerated but testing life-saving techniques for saving human, and other animal, lives is a necessary evil. Those who have no regard for human life will ultimately show no regard for animal life either. All life is sacred but human life is far more sacred than animal life and people must come first. If you don't believe that then you and I have nothing to discuss.

Interesting!
I don't think we can really establish that animals have rights. They don't not have cognitive function as do humans, and some say animals don't have souls.
That doesn't mean we shouldn't treat animals humanely. But animal rights as an ideology is ultimately part of the plot to destroy modern civiliazation, IMHO.
Yah, I love how PETA is touted as such a good organization when many of their members do engage in what you could only call terrorist activities.
I know of a leftist kook that actually compares abortion to squishing a bug. I was basically cornered into saying how I felt and said abortion was unnecessary and just a way of absolving responsibility for one's actions. Also a disregard for human life. The reaction was, "Well, you squish bugs and they're god's creatures." (She doesn't believe in God, which is why I left it lowercase g in the quote) It was clear that conversation on the topic was pointless.
