Stay Out of Porn Sites

Not only for moral reasons but for practical reasons as well.

They are a major source of viruses including at least one that is little more than extortion.

We gave you this virus and now you have to pay our fee or you'll never get rid of it.

You'd think it was illegal.

Pay up or be embarrassed. What a choice. Perhaps playing with fire isn't such a good idea after all...

Personally I won't have to be worrying about that, but it should be illegal anyway because it's blackmail!

Pornographers are people who walk the fine line between the legal and the illegal, and such people generally have a criminal turn of mind.

These guys' preying on folks who would probably mostly rather pay the blackmail than sit on a witness stand and tell a courtroom full of average citizens that they frequent porn sites are, well, exercising the criminal part of their mindset.

If they make a lot of money with this scam, other WWW pornographers will probably start doing it, and the Democrats in Congress will come up with the "Perversions Protection Act of 2008", ruling the blackmail scheme illegal.
