Memories - - A Great Political Cartoon

When the Clinton Administration was on the ropes in 94, 95 the pundits couldn't stand it because the sexist conservatives couldn't handle and didn't like a strong woman.

Brought up this political cartoon that appeared about that time.

Picture if you will, a woman with of a man who has a GOP pin on his lapel. (She has a DEM pin on hers) He is sitting a desk and she is talking to him.

Her: You don't like Hillary Clinton. Why is it that you conservatives are so fearful of strong, assertive women in positions of power?

He doesn't answer but hanging on the wall behind his desk is a picture of Maggie Thatcher, a strong assertive woman who held power and whom conservatives loved (and feminists hated.)

It's still true today. It's not enough to support a woman. If you support a conservative woman you are a still a sexist. It must be a liberal woman in order to expiate your sexism.

I've been reminding my liberal commenters for years that I have no problem with strong women like Margaret Thatcher and Condi Rice and now Sarah Palin.

Of course it's these libs who have a problem with any strong woman who happens to be a conservative.

Why can't they just be honest FOR ONCE and admit that to them liberalism is the first and only principle they stand for?

They could care less about any woman who doesn't tow their line at the same time they falsely claim to represent the interests of all women.
