Now a British ethicist says it's OK to kill people with Dementia because they are drain on resources.
And they call conservatives heartless.
The veteran Government adviser said pensioners in mental decline are "wasting people's lives" because of the care they require and should be allowed to opt for euthanasia even if they are not in pain.She insisted there was "nothing wrong" with people being helped to die for the sake of their loved ones or society.
These first lines are disingenuous because she isn't seeking for volunteers; she is actively encouraging it.
Lady Warnock said: "If you're demented, you're wasting people's lives – your family's lives – and you're wasting the resources of the National Health Service. Thus you are morally obligated to kill yourself.
We are approaching the means of helping people with Alzheimer's Disease. So let's kill them just as effective treatment appears on the horizon. One very ethical ethicist there.
It's interesting that this all for the benefit of society or the state. What is the political philosophy where the best interest of the state is but ahead of all other considerations, including humanitarian ones? I believe it's called Fascism.
