The Face of the Modern Democratic Party
This man is entitled to his opinion and since he has been kind enough to pose for a picture I'm going to help show it to the entire world, or at least to those who read my blog.
The picture includes very ungentlemanly language so I will not post it, but you need to see it.

This is what the party of JFK and Harry Truman has degenerated into. They legally have the right to their opinions and they may broadcast them and we should make absolutely certain that they are broadcast far and wide. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if Hillary had won the nomination and the GOP started selling shirts that said that about her. Again it would have been legal but the people who are howling with laughter at these shirts would have been howling with rage over the "sexist" shirts; it's only sexist when liberal women are insulted because it's perfectly already to treat conservative women in such a manner. Now some would say that it's just one man but no, the shirts are for sale and are showing up in a lot of places. People are wearing them to GOP rallies, but fortunately our candidates have more class than that. I wonder what would happen if someone war a shirt that said Obama is a Muslim or Obama is a N... to an Obama rally. Also kudos to ABC news by surprising me and reporting this.
And then there's this. The party of peace, brotherhood and tolerance is destroying McCain posters. In some areas the majority of them have been vandalized.
Don't even get me started on the ACORN fraudulent voter scandal. We have just the tip of the iceberg on that one. I believe the fraudulent votes that will be cast for Obama will be a huge number, possibly even millions of them. All this does is demonstrate a total lack of regard for the electoral process.
Poor JFK and Harry Truman, along with Scoop Jackson and other great Democrats of the past, are weeping in their graves for what the party they long loved has degenerated into. They have become a party that hates the GOP more than they love America.

Yes, there are assholes on both sides. This guy is not representative of all Democrats.
There is a lot of ugliness on the Republican side as well.
The Right has been expert in getting their following to hate the other side for a long time.
Against war with Iraq? TRAITOR!
Don't want war with Iran and think we should at least try talking it over? APPEASER!
On and on I could go.
I think a lot of people on both sides would like to see more civility.
Just relax and breath deep. And please, after what Bush and his underlings have just done with the banking system stop whining about socialism.
Do we see conservative protesters outside the DNC throwing urine on attendees and spitting on them? During every single Presidential election? Do we have an endless supply of supporters and pundits attacking a disabled child of a Democratic politician? Or a conservative commentator blaming a Democratic politician for her child's disability? What about calling a sitting President retarded? Or wishing a bomb had hit a sitting Vice President visiting Iraq? Was Bill Clinton's daughter hounded and smeared by the media? Do we have Fox News fabricating paperwork to throw a presidential election? Your a little late in asking for civility in politics.

Bush has screwed up a lot of things but Obama is much worse. Capitalism is flawed but workable while socialism is a cultural disease that destroys every culture it touches. It may take several generations but it is inevitable. If McCain is "More of the same" then we have a choice between "More of the Same" or "Even Worse Than It Is Now."
Tim, while I'll agree that there are assholes in the fringes of both parties, the real degenerates are all on your side. It's probably religion and lack of religion that makes the difference on how low some people will sink!

BTW- I am an Independent. I will be voting Democratic in this election, but I vote on the issues and the candidate, not strictly by party lines.
Tim, I know you try to be "moderate" and "independent" but I simply don't see the amount of serious garbage on the Conservative side as I do the Liberal side. And not just nationally but in the city in which I work. I've seen numerous "X"s through McCain/Palin signs, spraypaint obliterating their names and, had I a camera at the time, I would have documented same. Yes, you make a point -- ONE point, that Fred Phelps and his bushel of idiots are just that. But I can tell you that the Conservatives are buffalo'd and don't express themselves in public.
It's that resulting expression I think we'll see come the 4th. I think MANY will be surprised.

Shoprat, I think this shows the utter fear these nimrods have that their Obamessiah cannot win unless they intimidate His opposition. T-shirts like the one you linked to are simply more of the same tactics in a small, ugly way.
