Fight Like a Man
Music can be one of the most uplifting things there is.
It can also be encouraging.
Between my father, my employment situation, the nation's and world's economy, and a Manchurian candidate about to win the presidency, it's hard to fight despair as I believe in the next few years I could well see my country die as the situation will be far worse in a few years than it is today. Yet there is hope.
When I was younger one of my favorite Christian rock groups was Petra and this is one of my favorite songs by this band and it has encouraged me in many difficult times.

Where there's a will there's a way. We'll survive Obama. The world is shifting left sadly but it's not the end - yet.
The world IS shifting left because of the excesses of the far right wing of the Rupublican Party.
Notice that socialism for the rich is enthusiasticly supported while the working class is squeezed further.
Will Obama be able to straighten out the mess that Bush has created?
I doubt it. But, when you are digging yourself into a hole the best thing to do is to STOP DIGGING!

I have great sympathy for the plight you are now in. I hope that you will find decent employment quickly. I hope that your father will recover and be in your life for many more years.
And about the song: I have always believed that in times like this a wise man is the first one to get on his knees and pray. I have been praying for you and hope your current troubles abate. Take it to the Lord in prayer.

For inspirational music I've never found much better than Bach or Haydn.

Ducky Actually I prefer Strauss or Tchaikovsky to Bach or Haydin. Bach is too hypnotic and sleep inducing.
