Just A Photo

After weeks of frigid cold we finally got a break over the last couple of days and the temps are well above freezing. As I was coming home around noon I crossed over a footbridge only a couple of blocks from my home and saw ice sheets crashing into and piling into each other because of the bend in the river just after the bridge. Just a bit of a sight to see.

Great picture shoprat, but this renews my thoughts of not missing that type of weather. You know we got that some stuff over in the Buckeye State.

Blessings.

Through it all, it sure looks like a gorgeous place you're lucky enough to live in, Shoprat...
if it's any consolation, California's got RAIN! Lots of it!

As much as I miss the family members still in MI-I don't miss black ice and cold-COLD! - the photo is of a beautiful scene and would make a great subject for a painting.....:-)

Driving over the Grand River today I realize that we will likely get some flooding from this, maybe a lot of it.

Z, I'm hearing about mudslides. To be honest with you sometimes in Michigan, even with all of the snow we get, I think we get off light on the weather. Massive floods, mudslides, hurricanes, the fires in Australia.

Chuck, it's like anywhere. I hear about mudslides coming on the news because of the fires and ensuing rains but...... NOTHING YET. NOT ONE STORY here about ONE MUDSLIDE in all of Los Angeles.........nada.

That river looks deadly!

By the way, Shoppie, do you know how many weeks unemployment benefits are supposed to last in Michigan now?

Thanks all

I was just kind of awed by the amount of ice and the sound the chunks made as they ground into each other and the cold beauty of it.

dmarks 26 weeks plus a 20 week extension.
