Good for a Laugh

We knew that Hitler did experiments with magic but Stalin also ordered some experiments that, well let's just say I would have never volunteered to take part in.

Stalin tried to create super-soldiers by cross-breeding men and apes. We know that this is impossible because of different chromosome patterns (which also makes it difficult to see how we could be closely related to apes). But Stalin didn't know that.

Sadly the genuinely brilliant scientist who was ordered to conduct this experiment, Ilya Ivanov, wound up in internal exile because of his failure.

On a more sensible, though still uncertain note, check out what modern scientists believe they may be able to do soon with cloning of animals: bring back the wooly mammoth. I am not certain it will work, but it is of interest.

Hmmm ... Pleistocene Park?

That also makes a very good case for intellegent design, doesn't it?

This one is funny as well as informative. I didn't know Stalin tried to invent super soldiers by cross-breading men with apes. You live and you learn. At least some of us do! :)

Stalin trying to make super soldiers by crossbreading men w/ apes. Yuck! Not a pleasant thought.

Yes it does make a strong case, some time ago I posted on how reptile eggs and chromosome numbers both made atheistic evolution impossible.

LMC Fortunately they used artificial insemination. I just hope you used only female apes and not women.

LMC is just worried about the cost of back hair waxing if she was dating one of them :)
