What's Going On Now?
The best way to keep peace in space is to keep peace on earth and we know that isn't going to happen; human nature guarantees that there will be war as long humans rule over themselves. That's not pessimistic but realistic.
Is Ralph Nader a contemporary Lyndon LaRouche running a quixotic presidential campaign every election? I don't know why he's running. He is correct in saying that American's are sick of both parties and neither party is doing well. He sees corporate control of America as a critical problem but he doesn't see bloated government going places it shouldn't as part of the problem as well. Besides Hillary and Obama are both so far to the left that I don't know what he's complaining about. Ralph, you and your fellow leftists are 90% of the problem, not the solution.
A 134 Lb hamburger. Someone actually cooked one and I think I know at least one person who will volunteer to eat it in one sitting. But you can actually get one with 24 hrs notice and a mere $350 and the place is here in Michigan. Who says were not innovative in this Great Lakes State?
My Father's condition. My brother Skip, who had his own blog for while, has opened a temporary blog to report on his conditions. This is quite a good idea. As of right now the outlook isn't rosy but it's better than it was a few nights ago.

I don't believe we should accede to the demands of other countries that we participate in any treaties that effect our defense capabilities, on the ground, under the sea or in space.
Every country on earth knows we are the military superpower with the most advanced capabilities in existence, and every U.N. initiative designed to curtail military advances targets U.S. capabilities specifically, just as their global warming agendas target our economy.
We don't have to answer to them, we surely don't have to answer to Russia or China!
On the killer missile- Much ado about nothing. China shot one down that was higher in orbit and likely to cause more damage to other Earth orbiting object than the one we shot down.
On Nader- I wish he would stick to consumer safety, but now he has lost any credibility he has ever had and probably won't even be able to be effective in that role.Hillary (going down in flames) and Obama (our next president) have nothing to fear from him. It's time for a new day in America. The right has had their chance and it didn't work out, so our republic will do what it always does: let the other side pull things back to the center. If he gets a second term then you may have to worry about it going too far left. Personally, I feel that Reagan shifted the center to the right and now moderate conservatism is the new center, so "leftist" doesn't have the same meaning as it used to. Gov. Milligan would now e called a left wing liberal.
The burger is an amusing distraction from all the bad news in the paper, Like the 10 year old boy who drowned after falling thru the ice this weekend. So sad.
I am glad to hear that your Dad is doing better. Keep praying and somehow God will make a way. "His ways are higher and better than our ways". Frank Frazetta (the famous fantasy painter) had a stroke and taught himself to draw and paint with his left hand at the age of 70, your Dad can find a way if he does not give up!
I'm also happy to hear that your Dad is doing better, Shoprat.
Regarding R. Nader, I think it's really strange. He is indeed part of the far left and I can't believe that he doesn't think Obama is progressive enough. Neither can I believe he thinks he has a chance of winning. All he is doing is helping McCain. Has he gone senile?
Missile: making a statement to Russia. "We have the technology."
Nader: ooooo. The SPOILER returns to steal votes from the Demorats. Nyaah, ha-haaa!
My prayers are with your father!
